What we do, and what belongs to the authority
An e-money licence lets a company issue electronic money and provide payment services under it: wallets, prepaid accounts, card programmes. The regulator weighs the business model, the people, the initial capital and, above all, how client funds are safeguarded.
We build the application with you — programme of operations, three-year financial plan, safeguarding, AML and risk frameworks, governance — file it and answer the regulator's questions. The authority alone grants the licence and sets the pace of its review.
Good to know before you start
- The initial capital is €350,000 for a full EMI in the EU; a small EMI has lower limits and cannot passport.
- Safeguarding of client funds is examined in detail before any approval.
- No time to approval is announced: the decision belongs to the authority.
Licences we prepare
Fees for preparing and filing, excluding VAT. The authority's own fees and the capital are not fees.

How it works
- Scoping call
We check the activity, the market and the people, and name the licence that fits.
- Firm quote
A written quote with the fees and what they cover, before anything is signed.
- Identity check
Owners, directors and key people are verified before any work on the file.
- Application file
Programme of operations, financial plan, policies and governance, written with you.
- Filing and questions
We file the application and answer the authority's questions round after round.
- Decision
The authority decides. We stay on the file until the decision and the first obligations after it.
